Here is the buck you saw reaching into the juniper tree to eat. The large does may be boss most of the time, but that changes when this fellow comes in to drink. Here you see him at full alert! He is a Great specimen of the Mule deer in the Davis Mountains near Mount Livermore. Oh I forgot to tell ya. NO HUNTING in the Resort! The mountain lions get the slow ones, but many live lots of years.
