John Julius Henderson;  Thru the kindness of Mr. Henderson family we were allowed to take photos of private cemetery. From other sources we have found that John Julius Henderson and Susan Jackson Henderson [married 1887] came here in 1889 and began ranching west of Odessa near Historic Crater. Mr. Henderson was born in Arkansas. We are not sure if he came to other parts of Texas prior of coming here. [ His sister Annie married Homer Henderson [a distant relative],  brother of Marvin Floyd Henderson. They establisher ranch in Crane County and died with out issue.

 
Marvin  Floyd Henderson, came here from Floresville, Texas area in 1907 where he was born in 1885. He settled on ranch west of Penwell, [he married Lois  Dunne who's family arrived in 1906] at present time this family ranch has holdings at Notrees, there is a cemetery near ranch house with the grave of loyal and respected that is projected by the marker on this site. We are grateful of the family of Mr. Henderson to allow us to take photos of cemetery,
