Powell Hotel

I do not have details what this structure was called when it was young.
If it was built before 1930 that makes it over 75 years old in 2005.

I remember many years ago when there was a barber shop down stairs.
And I remember a sign calling it the Powell Hotel.  It's possible the Barber Shop
was named Powell also.  I recall a barber named Bill Powell and perhaps he
was doing business in the time period we are speaking of.

The property is now owned by a company in El Paso Texas.
It would be appropriate if a local group or parties were to supply
the funds and restore it to the original condition and Odessa
citizens could keep it as an heritage site.

In the past we destroy the old buildings and keep building
new structures. Not many of our original city remain. " SAD!"
This is one of the very few original structures remaining in
the county.

Is there any one out there that has similar thoughts?
