Presents:

Genealogical Research:

Resources and Strategies

"Terry Shults was born in Kansas, escaped to Oklahoma, graduated from OBU,
fled to the University of Louisville for M.A. and Ph.D. in British Literature.

After 20 years of teaching college English, the middle four
full-time for good money, he saw the light and sought honest work as a
librarian with an MLS from Rutgers, evolving from Government Documents at
Ripon College in Wisconsin, to Odessa, Texas, as UTPB Dunagan Library's
 Head of Technical Services
which came to include Archives.

Charlene, his spouse of 38 years, is his Library Director.

He is Secretary and a founding member
of Allegro, Inc. a non-profit 30 voice chorus featuring serious music in
multiple languages and dialects. He is looked upon as the cowboy song
soloist, the rare times that is called for, and once sang with a cowboy
group on a program with noted Texas writer Elmer Kelton in honor of Kelton's
mentor Paul Patterson, but the last two concerts has sung African-American roles."
