Before It's Too Late . . .
1. What is a Will?
2. Why do I need a Will?

5. What if I do NOT make a Will?
Actions you should take, while you can handle your own
affairs.
1. Execute a "Living Will" ( a Directive to Physician)
2. Execute a "Health Care" Power of Attorney
3. Execute a "Business" Power of Attorney
4. Optional: "pay on Death" on bank accounts
5. Check beneficiary on life insurance to see if information is current
6. Check other contracts: profit-sharing plans, teacher retirement, IRAs
7. Prearrange your funeral
8. Take Pictures of Possessions
9. Annually, at tax preparation time, do an inventory of assets and
liabilities, and put inventory with your will
Myths:
1. Without a Will, the state or government will take your property.
2. If you have a will, the property is automatically yours.
IMPORTANT: There is a 4-year statute of limitation for
filing the Will for Probate; otherwise the Will becomes void or must be
filed as a mumiment of title.

the aspects there of. This applies to all persons over 18 years of age.
